The Associate Director provides expert career coaching services to BU Questrom School of Business full-time MBA students (and occasionally part-time students and alumni) through individual career coaching sessions, workshops, website, required career courses, and social media content and other innovative programming, both on campus and virtually. The Associate Director leads in the planning, development, and implementation of strategies to promote career development services and activities, coordinating with the school's other career-related programming and initiatives (i.e. Industry Engagement team, Alumni Engagement team, Grad Center, Center for DEI, MBA programs, etc.) The Associate Director will optimize seamless student support by tracking and communicating information through written notes and verbal conversations, documenting the details of student interactions/appointments and full-time MBA employment and internship outcomes. The Associate Director will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at improving career outcomes for FTMBA students and will champion school-wide efforts related to this population, including community and admissions events. The Associate Director will model a commitment to professional development, staying at the forefront of best practices and emerging developments in career education, and will proactively disseminate relevant insights with colleagues and students. This position must be available for occasional flexible hours: early mornings, late afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Required Skills

B.A./B.S. required; Master's Degree preferred. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office. Demonstrated ability to present and facilitate in a classroom or large-group environment. 57 years of progressive experience in career coaching, counseling, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of impact. Experience coaching graduate business students strongly preferred. Some weekend and evening availability required.
